When to Use MLA?

Although most courses offered at Wilmington University encourage the use of APA style formatting for papers and citation, this is not always the best option. The APA style was designed for writing in the social sciences field. Thus, if you would like to cite a play, for example, this is really challening to do using that style.

MLA style is often helpful when students are writing for literature and humanities classes. These tips are provided to assist students who choose to use this formatting style for their assignments.
