Use the tips below to find the articles you need for your research papers.
Make a list of possible keywords. Use a thesaurus to find the best synonyms for your topic. Most library databases include a Thesaurus or Subject Terms tool for finding related keywords.
Refine your results. After typing in your keywords, select some filters to narrow your search. Limiters like Full-Text and Peer Reviewed are some of the most popular with students.
Request Items. If you come across an article that is not available in full-text, there's still hope! Look for the "Request Item through Interlibrary Loan" button, below the article's details, to have the article sent to you. Most articles arrive electronically within 24 hours. Learn more about Interlibrary Loan here.
Get Help! The Library staff is available to help you with your search. Contact us by phone, email, or chat. Students can also work with a librarian one-on-one with a research consultation. Currently, this service is offered by phone or on Zoom.
