The mission of the Pride Club is to promote awareness, tolerance, acceptance, and support of LGBTQIA+ students and allies. In addition to onsite activities, there is an online moderated group open to students, faculty, and staff.

WilmU Organizations and Clubs A part of college life is the personal enrichment obtained outside the classroom through student activities. Through participation in various academic, cultural, social or athletic organizations, students have the opportunity to develop relationships with other students. Student organizations are listed below, along with Academic Honor Societies. Please feel free to participate in any organization or to propose new organizations to the S.G.A. All clubs and interest groups must secure approval from the Office of Student Life before being formally organized.

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people.

LGBT national help center
A non-profit, tax-exempt organization that provides vital peer-support, community connections and resource information to people with questions regarding sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Utilizing a diverse group of LGBT volunteers, we operate three national hotlines.
It gets better project
The It Gets Better Project’s mission is to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) youth around the globe.
Snapshot: LGBTQ Equality by State
The Movement Advancement Project (MAP) tracks over 50 different LGBTQ-related laws and policies. This map shows the overall policy tallies (as distinct from sexual orientation or gender identity tallies) for each state, the District of Columbia, and the five populated U.S. territories. A state’s policy tally scores the laws and policies within each state that shape LGBTQ people's lives, experiences, and equality. The major categories of laws covered by the policy tally include: Relationship & Parental Recognition, Nondiscrimination, Religious Exemptions, LGBTQ Youth, Health Care, Criminal Justice, and Identity Documents.

What's Going on in the Delaware Area?

Delaware Pride Website
Delaware Pride sponsors the annual Pride Festival and also hosts events throughout the year. Volunteers needed! Check the website for more details.
Camp Rehoboth Website
This non-profit organization based in Rehoboth Beach, DE aims to celebrate diversity, build a strong sense of community, and “create a more positive” environment for all people, gay and straight. Visit their website to check out a wide variety of programs, events, and resources.
